Tilapia Fish Farm — Lake Victoria (Cage Farming)

Lake Victoria cage farming produces Nile tilapia in 6–8 months to market size (500g+). This project installs 20 floating cages (10m diameter each) near Entebbe, producing 200 tonnes of tilapia per year. Fresh fish sells at UGX 9,000–12,000/kg to Kampala hotels, restaurants, and supermarkets. MAAIF (Ministry of Agriculture) cage farming permits are in place. Feed costs are optimised with locally sourced silver cyprinid (mukene) meal.
