Honey Bee Apiary — Mount Elgon (Organic Honey Export)

Mount Elgon's highland forests provide pristine nectar sources. This project installs 500 Kenyan Top-Bar hives across Kapchorwa and Sironko districts. Each hive produces 20–30kg of honey per year. Certified organic honey sells at $8–12/kg to German and Gulf buyers. The project includes a stainless-steel honey house, extraction equipment, and EU export certification. Beeswax is sold for cosmetics and candles at premium prices.
