Uganda loses 30β40% of fresh produce to post-harvest losses due to lack of cold chain. This project builds a 100-tonne cold storage hub in Kampala's Owino market area, reducing losses and extending shelf life for farmers and vendors. The hub earns storage fees (UGX 500β800/crate/day) and provides quality sorting/grading services. Farmers from Mbarara, Hoima, and Masaka have already committed supply.
