Dairy Cooperative — Mbarara (Holstein-Friesian Herd)

This project purchases 50 Holstein-Friesian heifers in Mbarara, integrating them with a pasteurisation and packaging unit. Each cow produces 15–20 litres/day. At UGX 1,200/litre pasteurised retail price, daily milk revenue exceeds UGX 900,000. The cooperative supplies Kampala supermarkets under a Pearl Dairy sub-contract. Manure is sold as organic fertiliser to neighbouring farms at UGX 50,000/tonne.
