Burundi Quinoa Trial Farm — Kayanza

Burundi's Kayanza highlands (2,000m+) have ideal climate for quinoa cultivation. This trial fund covers 30 acres across 6 smallholder cooperatives, with technical support from the FAO quinoa programme. If successful, organic red and white quinoa will be exported to Belgium and France at €3.50–5.50/kg dried grain. This is a higher-risk pioneer investment with 35% projected return if export contracts are secured.
